LONDON, October 2, 2026 — The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office updated the U.K. Sanctions List with two additions, two corrections and two revocations under the Russia sanctions regime.

The additions cover Galle Energy, IMO 9344411, and Bebek-E, IMO 7808401. Both vessels remain subject to shipping and trade sanctions, including restrictions on chartering or operating them, U.K. port access and the provision or procurement of services connected with the ships.

The FCDO said it had reasonable grounds to suspect that each vessel “is, has been, or is likely to be” involved in activity benefiting or supporting the Russian government. Galle Energy, believed to be Sri Lanka-flagged, is listed with Sharaf Shipping Agency LLC as its current owner-operator. Bebek-E, believed to be Turkish-flagged, is listed with Alasonya Denizcilik Tic Ltd.

At the same time, Britain revoked the vessels’ Oct. 1 designations, which carried different unique identification numbers and cited their actual or likely involvement in transporting liquefied natural gas originating in Russia to third countries. The Oct. 2 notice then added the same IMO-numbered vessels under new U.K. Sanctions List IDs and revised statements of reasons.

The changes follow a broader sanctions package announced Oct. 1 targeting Russia-linked LNG vessels, disinformation networks and individuals accused by Britain of involvement in abuses against Ukrainian civilians and children. The government said that package contained 31 measures.

The Oct. 2 notice also made administrative corrections to the entries for Marat Arkadyevich Kambolov and Artur Valerevich Orlov, both designated on Oct. 1. Their sanctions, including asset freezes, travel bans, trust-services restrictions and director disqualification measures, remain in force.
