US sanctions Palestine Action, Masar Badil and Autistici Inventati under counterterrorism authorities
The US Treasury sanctioned three organizations and two individuals under counterterrorism authorities, while also issuing licenses covering certain wind-down transactions and diamond imports.
WASHINGTON, August 26, 2026 — The US Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control added Palestine Action, Masar Badil and Autistici Inventati, along with Zaid Abdulnasser and Rawa Alsagheer, to its Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List.
OFAC identified Abdulnasser and Alsagheer as linked to Masar Badil, also known as the Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement.
Masar Badil was identified by OFAC as linked to the Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, which the US sanctioned in 2024 over alleged support for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
Palestine Action, founded in Britain in 2020, was also designated by OFAC under US counterterrorism authorities. Britain proscribed the group under the Terrorism Act in July 2025.
OFAC separately designated Italy-based Autistici Inventati, a technology and hosting organization established in 2001.
At the same time, OFAC issued Counter Terrorism General License 36, authorizing transactions ordinarily necessary to wind down dealings with Autistici Inventati and entities it owns by 50% or more through 12:01 a.m. EDT on Sept. 25.
OFAC also issued Russia-related General License 104B, extending authorization through Sept. 1, 2027, for certain US imports of nonindustrial diamonds that were outside Russia before specified 2024 cutoff dates. The license does not authorize imports of diamonds of Russian Federation origin.
