UN removes Swiss company LOGARCHEO S.A. from Iraq sanctions list
The United Nations Security Council has removed Swiss-based LOGARCHEO S.A. from its Iraq sanctions list, ending the company's designation under measures targeting assets associated with former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein's regime.
NEW YORK, October 5, 2026 — The UN Security Council committee established under Resolution 1518 (2003) announced the delisting of LOGARCHEO S.A., formerly known as LOGARCHEO AG, on Oct. 5. The company had been subject to UN sanctions since April 26, 2004, under reference IQe.200.
LOGARCHEO S.A., registered at Chemin du Carmel, 1661 Le Paquier-Montbarry, Switzerland, was originally designated under Resolution 1483 (2003), which established measures targeting funds and economic resources removed from Iraq or acquired by Saddam Hussein, senior officials of his former government and associated entities.
According to the UN's original listing justification, LOGARCHEO S.A. and Liechtenstein-based AVIATRANS ANSTALT were related companies allegedly established to manage assets belonging to Iraq's former regime and senior officials.
LOGARCHEO S.A. was reportedly involved in owning and managing French real estate ultimately belonging to Saddam Hussein. The UN also identified Khalaf Al-Dulaymi, a former investment director for the Iraqi Intelligence Service, as having controlled both companies.
The delisting removes LOGARCHEO S.A. from the UN's Iraq sanctions regime, including the asset-freezing measures associated with its designation. The UN announcement did not provide a reason for the removal.
The Security Council confirmed that the Iraq sanctions list and the UN Security Council Consolidated List have been updated to reflect the change.
The decision does not affect other individuals or entities remaining subject to the Iraq sanctions regime.
