UK updates Russia sanctions list with one correction and one revocation
The UK updated its Russia sanctions list on June 4, correcting one entry for Liran Cohen and removing one company, RBRU Specialized Depository, from the list.
LONDON, June 4, 2026 — The UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office updated its Russia sanctions list on Thursday with one correction and one revocation, according to an official sanctions notice.
The corrected entry was for Liran Cohen, who remains subject to an asset freeze, travel ban, trust services sanctions and a director disqualification sanction under the Russia sanctions regime. The notice said the change was an administrative amendment rather than a new designation.
The UK said it has reasonable grounds to suspect Cohen obtained a benefit from, or supported, the Russian government by making economic resources, goods or technology available to A7 LLC and other people in the A7 network. It said those entities are affiliated with the Russian government and operate in the Russian financial services sector, which Britain calls strategically significant.
First designated on May 26, 2026, the notice for Cohen shows his date of birth as June 19, 1975 and his nationality as Israeli.
The revoked entry was for Limited Liability Company responsibility of RBRU Specialized depository, also listed as LLC RBRU SD. The company is no longer subject to the sanctions listed in the notice, which had included an asset freeze, trust services sanctions, a director disqualification sanction, and a ban on correspondent banking relationships and payment processing.
The UK had said it suspected the company was involved in supporting the Russian government by operating in the Russian financial services sector. The notice lists the revocation as an official removal from the sanctions list following a formal decision-making process.
