UK issues four corrections under global irregular migration sanctions regime
The United Kingdom updated its sanctions list with four administrative corrections to entries under its Global Irregular Migration regime, while keeping all four Indian nationals subject to asset freezes, travel bans and director disqualification sanctions.
LONDON, May 28, 2026 — The UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office said it updated the UK Sanctions List on Thursday with four corrections under the Global Irregular Migration regime, describing the changes as administrative amendments rather than new designations or removals.
The four corrected listings remain in force, with the UK preserving asset freezes, travel bans and director disqualification sanctions in a May 28 update to designations first made on May 5. According to the UK statements of reasons, Deepak Kumar Taraknath Pandey, Manjeet Singh and Rakesh Taraknath Pandey were suspected of recruiting Indian nationals through deception, including advertising student visas in Russia, after which recruits were allegedly forced to fight on the front line of Russia’s war against Ukraine.
Daragur was listed as associated with a relevant person because he is a director of Baba Vlogs Overseas Recruitment Solutions Private Limited, which the UK designated separately on May 5 under the same regime for alleged involvement in trafficking in persons.
The sanctions regime itself was established under the Global Irregular Migration and Trafficking in Persons Sanctions Regulations 2025, which the UK says are aimed at preventing and combating people smuggling, trafficking in persons and the instrumentalisation of migration for destabilisation.
