UK delists Swiss firm Logarcheo S.A. from Iraq sanctions regime after UN decision
Britain removed Swiss entity Logarcheo S.A. from its Iraq sanctions list on Oct. 7 following a United Nations decision, ending an asset freeze imposed more than two decades ago.
LONDON, October 7, 2026 — The United Kingdom has delisted Logarcheo S.A. from sanctions under the Iraq (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office said.
The entity, also known as Logarcheo AG, is based at Chemin du Carmel in Le Paquier-Montbarry, Switzerland. Its UK sanctions identifier was IRQ0053, its Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation group ID was 8283 and its U.N. reference was IQe.200. The delisting means the company is no longer subject to the UK asset freeze imposed under the Iraq regime.
The FCDO said the removal followed a decision by the United Nations. UK guidance defines a delisting under the Iraq regime as removal from the sanctions list following a U.N. decision.
Logarcheo was originally designated on April 26, 2004. The U.N. said it had been listed in connection with assets removed from Iraq or acquired by Saddam Hussein, senior officials of the former Iraqi regime or related entities and family members. United Nations U.N. records linked Logarcheo to Aviatrans Anstalt and said the companies had been established to manage assets associated with the former Iraqi regime and senior officials. The U.N. narrative said Logarcheo reportedly owned and managed French real estate ultimately owned by Saddam Hussein.
The UK Iraq sanctions regime implements obligations arising from U.N. Security Council resolutions, including measures targeting assets connected with the former Iraqi government and former regime officials.
