WASHINGTON, August 28, 2026 — The Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control added Iranian national Reza Mohammad Taeedi and Hong Kong-registered Kameng Trading Limited to its Specially Designated Nationals List in an Iran-related and counterterrorism sanctions action.

OFAC identified Taeedi, a Dubai-based Iranian national born Aug. 24, 1975, as linked to Bank Melli Iran. His listing carries the SDGT and IFSR sanctions tags, and OFAC said he is subject to secondary sanctions.

Bank Melli Iran has long been subject to US sanctions, and OFAC’s designation identifies Taeedi specifically through his connection to the bank. OFAC did not provide further details in its sanctions-list notice about his alleged activities or the basis for the relationship.

Kameng Trading Limited was separately designated under Executive Order 13902, which authorizes sanctions targeting sectors of Iran’s economy. OFAC listed two Hong Kong addresses for the company and gave Hong Kong business registration number 76846373.

Hong Kong Companies Registry records show that a company bearing that name and registration number was incorporated on July 24, 2024. The entity’s website describes its business as supplying heavy equipment, industrial machinery and spare parts through international procurement and logistics operations.

As a result of the designations, property and interests in property of the listed persons that are in the United States or within the possession or control of US persons are generally blocked, subject to applicable OFAC rules and authorizations.
